The D key for the color selectors does not work

Unfortunately, there is no way to set the color selectors  to black and white by default shortcut.
The help does say to use the D key (as in PS), but it doesn't work. It does not work in the beta version either.

Strange, I did it long ago and it's working for me. Perhaps you need to search first if other tools use "D" as shortcut and disable them.

I think that Michail is saying it's not a default shortcut, as the Help implies that it is.

It's working after setting it on my laptop (can't test on my main computer right now).

It's working on the Pixel persona in AD, but impossible to memorize for the Vector persona.

I tested with the beta versions, since I didn't updated the other ones.

D was a default shortcut in Photo but was lost a long time ago. Serif never restored it although it was reported. Welcome to Affinity. This is not professional software.

In a professional workflow a professional user will use this shortcut very, very, very often.

I would not make the professionalism of a software dependent on a shortcut. But I agree with you that a shortcut should be defined by default for setting the standard colours.
For someone who works a lot with masks, setting black and white is a bit awkward - especially since there is no button for it, as in PS .
Maybe Serif didn't give it much priority because you can set a shortcut yourself. But on the other hand, it is certainly no big deal to fix the D key 🙂.

This just needs adding to Windows as a default shortcut. It's already there on macOS.

I've updated the bug report and emphasised that the Help suggests it should be working as default.
