damarbm30 Posted December 25, 2020 Posted December 25, 2020 I can't place an image using the drag & drop method. The cursor changed to "no symbol" or "no sign" everytime I tried to drag and drop the image to AP. I can plae an image through File > Place, though. But still, it makes me curious why does the drag and drop doesn't work. I've tried to do factory reset and reinstalling my AP software, but it didn't fix the bug Quote
Wosven Posted December 25, 2020 Posted December 25, 2020 Hi @damarbm30 When you drag and drop an image, it will be positionned in your document where your cursor was, at 100%. You'll have to adjust and resize it later. It's not the same as the Place tool that permit to draw the surface you want your image to occupy, automatically resizing it. Quote

I mean, everytime you want to drag and drop an image, your cursor shows the image with reduced opacity right? But when I try to do that, instead of showing the image, my cursor change to this symbol. It's like I was prohibited to drag and drop. I have uninstalled AP several times and try different version, but the problem remains. Quote
walt.farrell Posted December 25, 2020 Posted December 25, 2020 What application are you trying to drag from, and what are you trying to drag? Where in the Photo window are you trying to drop it? damarbm30 Posted December 25, 2020 Author Posted December 25, 2020 Just uncheck the "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" and it will adjust its own compatibility. Problem solved Chris B 1 Quote
