Meowface Sam
I want to create a PDF with an active, moving GIF. I know it's possible with InDesign. How about with Affinity Publisher? Deciding which program to buy. Thanks, Meowface Sam
GarryP
Welcome to the forums @Meowface Sam None of the Affinity applications support animated content of any kind at present, and we users have not been given any indication that such functionality will be coming in the future. We’ve been given a clear indication that it isn’t planned for Affinity Designer, and I can’t imagine its being added to Photo or Publisher, either. Thanks Garry for getting back. Aside from InDesign, might you know of other programs where I could create a file involving animated GIFs and/or videos and save it as a PDF (an “interactive” PDF, as they say in InDesign)? GarryP
I’ve not needed to do that sort of thing myself so I’m not the best person to be advising, but I feel sure that other forum members will have so they might give you some good choices, even though it’s probably not really something that should be discussed in the Affinity forums. (Try doing a web search for “interactive pdf software”.)
