WNY Bill Posted December 24, 2020 Posted December 24, 2020 Just bought my first MacBook. It’s a MacBook Pro 13” M1 chip, which I understand Affinity is optimized for. Purchased Affinity Photo from App Store and it downloaded in about a min and opened right up. However, after closing it, if I tap on it to reopen, it does not reopen. I force closed and still not able to reopen. Even tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Same sequence. Could open once then no more. I also thought it was odd that I did not get a key # but assumed it was bc I already had Affinity on my windows machine. Any idea what I’m doing wrong or what the problem may be? Thank you. -Bill Quote
Old Bruce Posted December 24, 2020 Posted December 24, 2020 You didn't get a "key #" because you purchased through the App Store (I assume that is the Mac App Store) When you say you " tap on it to reopen " what are you tapping on, is it the Application's icon in the Applications Folder or in the Dock? A double tap is the convention in Mac OS to open a file from the Finder. Also note that if you close all the windows in Photo the application does not shut down, it is still running but is showing no window. Try using File > New or Comand + N Quote Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6 Affinity Designer 2.6.0 | Affinity Photo 2.6.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.0 | Beta versions as they appear. I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
