add lines to a shape (letter)

Hello,

I'm trying to "embed" two white lines in two green letters, I need them to stop outside the letters... Don't know how to explain, I'll post some screenshots.

I need an end result like the first image (white background)

The second image is to show that the lines are also outside the letters, that's why I put a black background. I need to somehow embed, inset, add, whatever the term is (😅) those lines to the letters and can't manage to remember how to do it.... Thanks!!!

Thanks! I managed to find the way by myself playing around, I just created a circle shape with the "insert inside the selection" option! I just forgot how that worked... Thanks anyway!
