MiBandido
Hi there, I'm struggling already by far to long and hope some of you maybe know an answer for following task: I want to insert a tab between the TOC page number and the right border, so the page number isn't touching the right border but keep the blue mark in the TOC style. For the left side i achieved it with a simple tab at the page-title but it seems the visualization of the page number comes from the style of the TOC and I just can't find anything to tweak it. Thanks in advance for your help! Cheers from Berlin Michael
walt.farrell
Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums. Put the text cursor within the TOC line you want to change, and look in the Context Toolbar to see what paragraph text style is applied. For example, in a TOC that has a TOC Style of "TOC 1" specified, and if the heading has a text style of "Heading 1", the paragraph text style should be "TOC 1 Heading 1". Find that text style in the Text Styles panel and edit it. Look at the Paragraph Tab Stops setting. If you wanted the numbers to be .25 inches from the right, change the default tab stop value from 0 to .25: Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU. MiBandido
Hi Walt, thank you for your response. If i do as you describe, the number AND the blue mark will move inwards. My goal is only to move the number but to leave the blue mark as it was to the edge of the text frame. Do you have any idea?
walt.farrell
Sorry; you also need to adjust the Decorations settings for the text style to account for the movement of the numbers. For example, if you moved the number .25 inches to the left, you need to move the decoration's right edge .25 inches to the right: Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU.
