SH1 Posted December 21, 2020 Posted December 21, 2020 (edited) I'm considering purchasing Affinity Photo and looking YouTube videos. however, some features, like the spray has limited optioned, unlike the one showing on YouTube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3BE_a9wS7fU). are there any differences between the features provided on the trial version and the purchased version? Dan C Posted December 22, 2020 Posted December 22, 2020 Hi @SH1, Welcome to the forums 18 hours ago, SH1 said: are there any differences between the features provided on the trial version and the purchased version? I can confirm the trial version is fully featured, the only difference is the 10 day time limit applied to the app. 18 hours ago, SH1 said: however, some features, like the spray has limited optioned Unfortunately I'm not sure what you're referring to here, as the video linked is a tutorial for a Dispersion effect. Can you please expand on what you're referring to in regards to 'spray options'? Many thanks in advance! Quote
SH1 Posted December 22, 2020 Author Posted December 22, 2020 hi Dan, in the trial version, Sprays and Spatters are grouped and the options to choose from are very limited. in the video i linked there's a bubble like pattern, other videos has broken pieces like pattern. i cannot find any of them in the Sprays and Spatters options. As Dan said, the Trial version and the Retail version will be identical. walt.farrell Posted December 22, 2020 Posted December 22, 2020 If you are looking at Sprays and Spatters in the Brushes panel, that is not the set of brushes the Affinity Revolutions video tutorial was using. They used Spray Paints. You probably still have a Spray Paints category, but the video tutorial is for an older release of the Affinity suite, and the brushes have been reworked and reorganized twice since then. That old brush set from 1.6 is available, still, and seems to be the one that Affinity Revolution used. Those brushes were removed for 1.7, but can be found at the Dropbox link in this post: Dan C 1 Quote -- Walt Designer, Photo, and Publisher V1 and V2 at latest retail and beta releases PC: Desktop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 64GB memory, AMD Ryzen 9 5900 12-Core @ 3.00 GHz, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3090 Laptop: Windows 11 Pro 23H2, 32GB memory, Intel Core i7-10750H @ 2.60GHz, Intel UHD Graphics Comet Lake GT2 and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Laptop GPU.
