Petrus Posted December 21, 2020 Posted December 21, 2020 Hey, as Hugin is able to do... It's possible to change the view of the final stitched image https://peertube.co.uk/videos/watch/10233b44-1683-40bf-82c1-8c42f329da91 May be I've not found this in Photo... or it can be a cool feature Quote
Dan C Posted December 22, 2020 Posted December 22, 2020 Hi @Petrus Please navigate to Layer > Live Projection > Equirectangular Projection and enable this option. Once within this projection, you can move the 360 image around until you're happy with the 'centre point'. Now, select Centre Coordinate System from the context toolbar. This will take the current view and set this as the starting point for the image when being viewed in 360 mode. I hope this helps! Quote
Petrus Posted December 24, 2020 Author Posted December 24, 2020 Thx @Dan C It looks like the right tool But sadly this is not the same steps as Hugin. Hugin will recalculate/stitch the panorama from the centered view. Photo wil "only" rotate the final result. As you can see on my final 360°, the panorama is not well stitched. May be I've not used this tool as it should ? Quote
Dan C Posted January 4, 2021 Posted January 4, 2021 Apologies for the delayed response as we have been closed over the holidays! Thanks for confirming that for me, I can confirm that Affinity is not re-stitching the image, as you've mentioned this option is designed to transform the final 360 image to change the origin point. When using Affinity to create Panoramas, please note that this isn't designed to create seamless 360 images, as the algorithm in use here will only try to make a seamless 'flat' panorama, so you may need to manually edit each end of the image to achieve a seamless 'looped' image.
