Plus I have just re-read my message and am embaressed by the number of spelling mistakes, sorry for that too...plus I have not yet drunk any vintage port....to cheer me up from this absence of innovatve thinking that I am experiencing right now...plus.....Oh I'll stop there...thanks Paul anyway. I can paste the texture into seperate objects it is just that it will make it trickier to align the texture - a bit like a jigsaw puzzle. Flood fill tool, well that's a whole chapter, I can not find it for a start off, the help file does nlt tell you where it is, it is not in the side panel, if it is you can blow me away with a hot potato gun - plus I do not have any pixel layers in my graphic unless I place the texture as a seperate layer first I suppose. There is No flood fill tool in Designer, it is in Pixel Persona. Ok semantics, this is the Paint bucket tool which I have been using since the age of 4. It is for colours only and will not work on textures which have multiple tones and variations in colour. I noticed that you were talking about textures but I allowed myself to be wrong-footed by Paul’s link to the Help on the Flood Fill Tool. What you need is the Fill Tool (or the Gradient Tool in APh) which offers ‘Bitmap’ as one of its fill types. I believe every one has misunderstood me, I wanted to fill several vector objects by Placing a bitmap texture Inside. Now I can easily do this to each object in turn, but with a slight caveat, I then have to line up various parts of this texture which has been placed ito each object so that the texture looks contiguous. And now as I am wriitng I am doing this the wrong way around, I should just clip the texture to all the objects at once when I have put the objects into a group.I suppose,?????? EDIT : No I a trying to clip to multiple objects at once, I suppose this is a no go. EDIT: Just to make it clearer: One bitmap texture and 4 vector objects as an example. Instead of placing the texture in 4 times, I would like to make that texture consistent within the 4 objects. I think I amust be stupid right now because I am not working this one out very well. v_kyr Posted December 20, 2020 Posted December 20, 2020 Here are two different ways, fill over all selected objects continously with just one sized texture/pattern, or fill all objects (each) at once with the same one. screencast.mp4 Chris26 and Paul Mudditt 1 1 Quote ☛ Affinity Designer 1.10.8 ◆ Affinity Photo 1.10.8 ◆ Affinity Publisher 1.10.8 ◆ OSX El Capitan ☛ Affinity V2.3 apps ◆ MacOS Sonoma 14.2 ◆ iPad OS 17.2
