That's something I reported times (years) ago, but nothing happend so far! - In the stroke panel the miter label (german: "Gehrung") covers the corner selection button type selection and thus makes it pretty difficult (sometimes impossible) to select the underlayed selection button.

Either make the stroke panel wider or abbreviate the localized label entry. - This affects all Affinity versions (ADe, APh, APu), I can't believe this still isn't fixed in the actual Affinity v1.8.4/v.1.8.6 line!

Strictly speaking it is the word for Align Ausrichten: which is pushing the buttons underneath the Label Gehrung:

The panel/pane needs to resize itself to the size of the words used. Or it needs to be made wider for all the languages used in the distribution.

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6
Affinity Designer 2.6.0 | Affinity Photo 2.6.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.0 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

Or add a slider to Miter/Gehrung and place it below the toggle buttons, like seen for Breite/Width above, aka ...

Breite:  ---------------------------  [1 pt]

Ende:            [ -) ] [ -| ] [ -*]

Ecke:            [ -) ] [ -| ] [ -*]

Gehrung:  -----------------------  [1,5  ]

Ausrichten:  [ -) ] [ -| ] [ -*]

... so the panel would need overall just some vertical resizement.

It doesn't matter if I use the Affinity apps here on my ...

  • old iMac 1920 x 1200 px (MacOS El Capitan) with APh/ADe v1.8.4 standard settings
  • or on a modern MacbookPro 15" Retina 2880 x 1800 px (MacOS Mojave) with APh/ADe v1.8.6 standard settings

... the result and behavior is everywhere always the same with that german localized stroke panel!

It shouldn't be a big deal for you to reproduce/check this when changing any of the apps UI localization to the german language!

Still the same UI localisation layout gliches as ever also for all Affinity v.1.9.0 apps here. The underlayed toggle button is covered by the "Gehrung" label and very difficult to press at all !!!

BTW I've reported this x times now, for several Affinity app versions, but nothing changed over years here, nobody cares. - Honestly I will give up to report bugs here, since either way nobody from your software quality assurance seems to care about those UI usability things!
