Designer: Align to center line of object

Recommended Posts

Hi there,

I got a tilted rectangle and I want a circle to be aligned to the center line of the rectangle (see screenshot). How can I do this without bringing them upright, align them horizontally and turn them back again? Isn't there a magnetic snap to the middle/center of another object? That wouldn't solve my problem, because I need to adjust the distance between rectangle and circle along the imaginary middle line of the rectangle ...

Thank You all in advance and have a merry X-mas. 🙂

Welcome to the forum @Rembrandt

You can align using the Show Alignment Handles see image below, the only prerequsite is you have to rotate the ellipse to the same angle as the rectangle and use the alignment handles arrowed to snap to the centre line of the rectangle.
