showingaustin Posted December 19, 2020 Posted December 19, 2020 (edited) Does anyone else have the issues with v 1.8.6 often crashing with Big Sur 11.1? My issues are when using Macros whereas a few will work then one will eventually crash the application. It happens almost half the time. I am really trying to use Affinity as much as possible instead of Photoshop, but cannot with so much crashing. Edited December 19, 2020 by showingaustin Quote
Staff Lee D Posted December 21, 2020 Staff Posted December 21, 2020 @showingaustin Welcome to the forums. If the issue is occuring when using macros, once it occurs follow the steps in this FAQ article to retrieve a crash report from the OS to upload. This may indicate where the crash is happening, if it also happens with a particular macro can you also export that macro category from the Library panel and upload. Quote
NineLostSouls Posted February 2, 2021 Posted February 2, 2021 Yes. I applied a custom stroke nad now I am unable to go anywhere near that group. Unable to remove/replace or reformat the layer just crashes Designer out (sometmes with an impressive red screen 😄 ) Looks like I need to recreate it all from scratch.. sigh just three or four hours work to redo. v_kyr Posted February 2, 2021 Posted February 2, 2021 People can retry with the Big Sur 11.2 update which fixes some of the general Big Sur problems, though I doubt this will change much for the Affinity app line in overall behavior here. Quote ☛ Affinity Designer 1.10.8 ◆ Affinity Photo 1.10.8 ◆ Affinity Publisher 1.10.8 ◆ OSX El Capitan ☛ Affinity V2.3 apps ◆ MacOS Sonoma 14.2 ◆ iPad OS 17.2

Oops sorry I've posted this as a repsonse to that and I am in 11.2 ... Sorry wrong place. I should have paid more attention. Quote
