I can't believe Affinity is selling junkware that will not run on windows 10. Photo crashes on both the Win 10 machines I tried it on. You idiots have wasted hours of my time pedaling software that isn't even a beta version. I want my money back! Jerks.

I can’t believe you’re so quick to dismiss Affinity Photo as ‘junkware’ just because you’re experiencing problems with it on your PCs. Many Windows 10 users, including me, have either infrequent crashes or none at all.

Calling Serif staff and/or other forum members ‘jerks’ isn’t the best way to encourage anyone to try to help you, but if you purchased the app from the Affinity Store within the past 14 days you’re covered by a ‘no quibble’ money-back guarantee.

If you purchased the Microsoft Store version of the app, your contract is with Microsoft rather than Serif and you therefore need to ask Microsoft for a refund.

Rather than just ranting, you would get more help if you provided a much information as possible about your PC:

  • How much memory?
  • How much disk space?
  • At which point did Affinity crash? Use the Windows task manager to monitor memory use as it loads and runs.
  • What version of Windows are you using? What build?
  • What version of Affinity are you using?

I'm certainly very sorry to hear you're having trouble with the Affinity software @Mark McGilvray however this does not allow you to conduct yourself in this manner here.

I have personally already responded to your original thread regarding this issue, where Affinity is crashing for you. I'm not certain why this crashing would lead you to believe that Affinity is 'junkware', but you are certainly entitled to your opinion.

If you wish to continue being supported on these forums, please adhere to the Guidelines and respect both our Staff and community members alike. We will not tolerate further posts like this.

As Alfred has mentioned above, you are welcome to request a refund for this product from ourselves - provided it was purchased less than 14 days ago & directly from the Affinity Store.
