Dear Affinity community,

I have a problem with Affinity Publisher for a few weeks.

I have a document of 130 pages of approximately 215 MB, it has many images approximately 90 and these are linked to the original document of the edited photo (Affinity Photo or Affinity Designer file).

When I open the document it just lets me go up and down the pages and zoom in and out. The moment I try to edit any element, page or master page the program stops reacting and I must close it from the Task-Manager. When I go to task-Manager I observe that only the RAM card works but not the CPU.

I installed the program on another computer and it served me for a day, the next day I made a copy of the document, it worked for a moment and then did not react anymore.

I use Windows 10, 16 GB RAM.

I hope someone can help me to fix it, I am quite frustrated.

Thank you very much,

Sabine

Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums :)

Are your linked files stored locally or on an external location? If you create a copy of the file and in this version change the linked resources to embedded, resave and see how the app behaves.

If the app behaves the same, it may be worth us getting a copy of the file to see if the same occurs on our systems or if something that can be reproduced.

It's worth downloading and installing the latest Publisher beta alongside your existing version and testing a copy of your file to see how that handles your file.
