Title says it all? When I place a PDF in Passthrough mode this file will not be checked with Preflight.

What are you expecting to be checked?

From the Preflight Profile, all that should be checked is compatibility with the specified PDF output format:

Everything? When I place a PDF in 1.8.5 I get a warning if the colour format is wrong or images inside are wrong (inside in this version is of course the wrong term). There are several checks that should check inside. But this is not working anymore with Passthrough. Preflight seems to be broken also for EPS. Please place the attached EPS in 1.8.5.x and in 1.9.0.x in a CMYK document with full preflight options on. In 1.8.5x you get a warning / error about the colour, in 1.9.0.x everything is fine.

Thanks for the clarification, Joachim.

I think that there probably should be some differences in what Preflight checks for a PassThrough vs an Interpreted PDF file (fonts should probably not be checked, for example), but perhaps more is missing than should be :)

This sounds like a mistake I will check what the correct behaviour is now.
