Warping a text box

Can I warp a text box as e.g. I do with a rectangle (add knot, move knot etc.). With the rectangle I use "Convert to curve" and then use the white arrow.

With text boxes it seems not to work in the same manner (as instead I can do with AI).

You can if you make the shape first (convert to curve if needed) then click inside it using the Frame Text tool and add your text.
