Hello All

As a new user to Publisher, I've created the Alice in Wonderland book tutorial, however, when I imported a 400pp novel I can't get the first page of each chapter to appear on a new page. Do I need to set this in the Word doc before importing, or do I need to create a new Master page?

Also, the tutorial for Alice gives the impression that setting the style of a page is easy as the word doc has already been formatted to an extent. Cunning eh?

Any advice would be helpful.

Many thanks

BadgerBill

Hi and welcome to the forums @BadgerBill,

You have to set up a paragraph style for the chapter's Heading or title or what ever is unique to the start of the chapter. Choose Start on new Page (+ Left/Right if you want) in the Flow section.

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.6
Affinity Designer 2.6.0 | Affinity Photo 2.6.0 | Affinity Publisher 2.6.0 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.

Thanks Old Bruce, I'll give it a try. However, as I have around 80 chapters, each chapter page will start on either a right, or left-hand page. How do I specify that in advance?

A simple Start on New Page will do it, there are three entries for New, New Ritght, New Left.
