jdbaok
I have a document with three Heading 1 element each followed by multiple Heading 2 elements. One of the Heading 1 transitions ends up with 2 of its Heading 2 elements listed with the preceding Heading 1 group. I hope the attached images will make this understandable. walt.farrell
You probably created those text objects in the wrong order, and they ended up in the wrong order in the Layers panel. Items lower in the Layer stack are presumed to have been created first, and appear earlier in the TOC.
