Cannot set parameters of Rectangle tool or other shape tools

Hi there,

on my iPad, when I want to draw a rectangle or polygon or any other shape like cogs or clouds, for all those tools I cannot change the parameters (like Corner Type for the Rectangle or number of Sides for the Polygon). Even if I tap on a numeric parameter and enter a new number, when I press OK, the parameter does not change. On my Mac, everything works fine.

I'm using an iPad PRO (3rd gen.) with iOS V14.2 and Affinity Designer V1.8.6.1

Is this a known bug and how can I get a fix?

This is a known issue in the iPad version of the app. You need to drag out the default shape first, and then adjust the parameters.

Ah, thanks for the workaround. I didn't see that you can change the parameters after dragging the shape.

That’s the main idea behind the shapes created with the Shape Tools. As long as you haven’t converted them to curves, you can change the parameters at any time.
