How to remove light from a photo?

Recommended Posts

Hi ,Dyadichev

I'm not on Ipad, but perhaps it's good

Use this macro, LumaAND Color.afmacro

Studio>  Macro,  Import Macro on the panel Macro (Top  panel on the right)

It' give you the L component. ( and colorcomponent)

On the Top, of this layer, use Level Tool and put the gamma slider at 2

duplicate this, eventually, Triplicate ...

Good result with my try.

Unfortunately, the iPad version of Affinity Photo can only import *.macros files, not *.macro files. Please export the macro from the Library panel instead of the Macros panel to create a ‘collection’ consisting of the single macro so that it can be used on iPads.

Maybe try inpainting brush and clone tool to remove unwanted items. Use selection (highlights) and add curves adjustment to selection. Attached a rough sample file so you can see effects.

The Inpainting brush works very well for this issue. It is located in the Clone tool menu. Just double tap the clone tool and the menu pops out. Select the inpainting brush, duplicate your layer, zoom in as far as you can, adjust the size of the brush and start painting over the lampshade. You can undo if you don’t like it or keep painting more.

I downloaded your image and this technique worked well with little effort.
