daz1471 Posted December 13, 2020 Posted December 13, 2020 Hi, I am currently looking at getting one of your programs but unsure which. I have used photoshop in the past for what I needed but no longer have access to it. Please note that I wasn’t exactly well versed in it and found it fairly hard to get to grips with so affinity photo isn’t necessarily the best option even though I know it’s the most similar. I’m okay with computers but not used to using design programs, and In my search for a replacement I came across affinity and it looks perfect. I just can’t work out which will best suit my needs. I would love to get all three but for the amount I use it I fear it would be overkill. My needs are some basic photo editing and compiling a few pictures and paragraphs together for advertising purposes. I currently sell a couple of items on amazon and with new products on the way I need take pictures of them, remove the background to create a white background and use this for the main product Image. In addition to this I need to create other images for the listing which will include various texts and pictures together. Close ups of the items, arrows pointing to various aspects, describing benefits and showing uses ect. I may also include instruction leaflet in the future with again a combination of pictures and text. From what I can see they all meet this requirement, and while it seems the emphasis is on text and pictures combined I’m worried about anything other than affinity photo being able to effectively remove parts of the photo accurately. It will have the ability to be zoomed in on quite a bit so imperfections will show if the outline isn’t great. I don’t know if one program will fit this criteria so if you could provide the best solution possible that would be great, any advice will be much appreciated. Kind regards Darren Quote

If you want to be able to create things like instruction leaflets you really need the ability to deal with multiple pages, which rules out Affinity Photo. Although Designer doesn’t offer pages as such, its artboards can be exported to PDF to give you one page per artboard. All three apps allow you to create vector masks, giving you the editability you need for ironing out those tiny imperfections that you’re worried about. Click on the appropriate link below for a free ten-day trial. Each trial clock runs continuously from the moment you first launch the app, so don’t be tempted to try them all out at once! The common file format means that any documents saved from one app can be opened and edited in the others. https://affin.co/designertrial https://affin.co/phototrial https://affin.co/publishertrial Quote Alfred Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 for Windows • Windows 10 Home/Pro Affinity Designer/Photo/Publisher 2 for iPad • iPadOS 17.5.1 (iPad 7th gen)
