XenPhi Posted December 9, 2020 Posted December 9, 2020 Hi there, How to connect curves? I have two curves, each consisting of two nodes. Curve 1 has Nodes A and B, connected by a single path and curve 2 has Nodes C and D, also connected by one path. How can I merge both curves to one? In the best case, I just want to add a path between nodes B of curve 1 and C of curve 2, combining both curves in the process to one of the form A---B---C---D. So far, I tried the path tool. With that I can add paths and nodes to either curve, but not combining them to one curve. When I use the "close curve" function of the Node tool, the single curves are closed each for themselves. And when I try to add the curves via boolean operation, strange things happen (curves and paths vanish) but I don't get the desired results. The same goes for one single curve object with the same setup: four nodes, A, B, C and D. A and B are connected with a path and C and D also. How can I add a path which connects the nodes B and C? Everything I tried adds new paths and nodes but does not result in one continuous path which connects the nodes like this: A---B---C---D. Quote
Staff MEB Posted December 10, 2020 Staff Posted December 10, 2020 Hi @XenPhi, Welcome to Affinity Forums Check the clip below. Select the nodes (of each curve) you want to join with the Node Tool and press the Join Curves button in the context toolbar. join_curves.mp4 Quote A Guide to Learning Affinity Software
XenPhi Posted December 11, 2020 Author Posted December 11, 2020 Ah, thank you so much. That was exactly the function I'm looking for. MEB 1 Quote
