The other day I was working in Affinity Publisher, planning to make my text flow around a photo.  But Affinity Photo, does not seem to be able to export in the PSD format, at least not when we are talking about cropped images...

The image shows what it looks like when the image is opened in Photoshop and in your own Photo... Click on the image to see.

Well, well...

One question, @Helge Skogh: If you're working in Photo and Publisher, why are you saving in PSD? Wouldn't saving in .afphoto (or exporting JPG/TIFF/PNG) make more sense if you're working in the Affinity ecosystem?

In any case, cropping in Photo is non-destructive, and does not change the document size. If you export as an image file (JPEG, TIFF, PNG) you'll get just the cropped size, but if you Save as .afphoto or export as PSD you can get the whole document, which includes the invisible pixels beyond the image border. To make the crop destructive and trim the output to just the cropped part when Exporting to PSD, you need to perform a Rasterize and Trim operation after the crop. You can do that from the Layer menu or by right-clicking on the layer in the Layers panel.

(I am seeing something odd in the current Photo beta. It looks like cropping (without the Rasterize and Trim) is completely ignored when exporting to PSD format. I need to look into that further.)
