Evander Greened Posted December 9, 2020 Posted December 9, 2020 I am trying to place a company logo for a client on one of the walls of their building. In order to make this look a bit realistic I will have to put this logo in the same perspective as the wall in the underlying photo. But how, and where is this tool? I use photo as well as designer so I can do it in either program. I did find this perspective grid thing in affinity photo you can tweek on just the layer the logo is in, but, when I align this perfectly with the underlying photo and release it, the logo is tweeked in ways that have nothing to do with this perspective. The logo I have in a vector version (and to use before-mentioned perspective converted it to pixels), some tips are welcome! Oh and by the way, I was trying to do this on an ipad, but if needed have a desktop version as well. Quote
GarryP Posted December 9, 2020 Posted December 9, 2020 If you do a web search for “affinity photo perspective” (without the quotes) you will probably see various tutorials for the Perspective Tool, which you can find in the Photo Tools panel (see attached image). In Photo there’s also a Live Perspective Filter (see second attached image). Designer does not have these tools. If you have a specific problem then giving us a video showing what’s happening would be useful (or some ‘before’ and ‘after’ full-screen screenshots if you can’t get a video). Quote
v_kyr Posted December 9, 2020 Posted December 9, 2020 Further, there arent any real plain vector based warp/distort/perspective tools available in ADesigner, thus you would have to try and use pixel based APhoto tools here (rasterize first). - The only exception is, that the APhoto perspective live filter, can also partly be reused for vectors in ADesigner, though with mediocre results at all (see here). Evander Greened Posted December 9, 2020 Author Posted December 9, 2020 Thank you Garry, I’ll dig into our suggestion as soon as I have a desktop available (on location now with just iPad) Quote

This has already been brought to the developers attention ... I don't expect new fetures to be comming up in this version. Let's be curious what Ver. 2.0 brings ...
