Hi,

This morning I tried opening a file I've been working on in the past days, but Affinity Photo suddenly says "The file appears to be corrupted and needs to be closed" Yesterday evening it was working fine, earlier this morning I also reworked part of the image and all was fine, the file was saved (on a local hard drive) But later this morning (after a restart; I'm on Windows 10, but nothing was wrong, just a minor update and before the update I saved and closed everything) after the update I wanted to continue my work but just couldn't.

I looked for a possible solution, but only encountered people with the same problem, but no solution other than uploading files for you to look at them and hopefully restore them?

I'm not looking forward to doing all this work all over again, so I hope my file can be fixed as well, or that I can do something myself to recover it...?

Best regards,

Sebastiaan.

Hi SebasDorgelo,

Welcome to the forums :)

I'm sorry to hear your file has become corrupt unfortunately there isn't much you can do yourself for it, please could you provide a copy of the file so I can log this with our developers in order for the cause of this problem to be investigated further? We should hopefully be able to fix the file in the process.

Thanks

You can’t attach files to private messages. You’ll need to wait for @Callum to provide a Dropbox link.
