HelenR
Hi, I've used Affinity Photo for years now and have never had a problem with it. I recently upgraded my Mac desktop operating system to High Sierra and now Affinity Photo won't open at all. The error message reads "affinity photo quit unexpectedly" when I try to open it. I also have Affinity Designer and I get the same response with that. I've looked on the forums at people who have had similar experiences and have tried the trick of holding down control whilst opening them but that has no effect. I've also tried uninstalling and reinstalling the programs and checking the permissions. I wondered if you had any ideas about how I could resolve this please? Dan C
Hi @HelenR, Welcome to the forums Unfortunately this sounds like the CODESIGNING crash that is occurring for multiple Mac OS users, for any applications, including Affinity. If you open the crash report generated when the app is crashing, under 'Termination Reason' this will read 'Namespace CODESIGNING, Code 0x1'. Please see the below FAQ for more information regarding this, as well as our suggested fixes - Please do let me know if a different 'Termination Reason' is shown on your Mac crash report! Many thanks in advance
