KikosDad Posted December 5, 2020 Posted December 5, 2020 Hi, I have tried searching both on this forum and googling this problem, and have tried the suggested solution I found (deleting and reinstalling Affinity Photo), without success. I am running a late 2009 iMac with High Sierra (16GB RAM, 512GB SSD) I recently upgraded to High Sierra from Sierra. Previous to that upgrade, Affinity would start without a problem, but after the upgrade, I see the error message “Affinity Photo has quit unexpectedly” whenever I try to start it. As far as I can determine, the program should run on my hardware with High Sierra without a problem. There is an error report which automatically generates each time this happens. I have reprinted it below in case it is needed. Any help would be most appreciated. Thanks in advance. Se_Esposito Posted December 6, 2020 Posted December 6, 2020 (edited) I am experiencing exactly the same problem. The only difference is that I have recently updated my 2015 MacBook Pro from El Capitain to High Sierra. I would appreciate help with this matter. Edited December 6, 2020 by Se_Esposito Quote
KikosDad Posted December 6, 2020 Author Posted December 6, 2020 I'm sorry to be a pest, but I was wondering if there is anybody out there who would be able to help me and this other nice person (Se_Esposito) who seem to have the same issue. I appreciate any advice. Thanks. 🙂 Quote
Staff Leigh Posted December 7, 2020 Staff Posted December 7, 2020 We've had quite a few users with this issue but it's also affecting other apps purchased through the Mac App Store. More information can be found here: Quote
KikosDad Posted December 10, 2020 Author Posted December 10, 2020 Thank you very much for the suggested solutions! A regular reboot didn’t work, so I tried rebooting into Safe Mode. It wouldn’t accept my password, so I shut down and booted into the regular mode. Then I was able to start Affinity. I’m bookmarking your FAQ just in case. Thank you again for your help! 😀 Leigh 1 Quote
