Kai. Posted December 5, 2020 Posted December 5, 2020 Hey everyone I have an "issue" where there's a thin line that appears around my artboards / canvases in Affinity Designer. It looks like this and its behaviour seems a little inconsistent. Note the left image of the bottom left corner has a thiner left-hand border than the right-hand border on the right image of the bottom right corner. I'm guessing this is to clearly define the edges of the working space but I'd really rather turn it off - my problem is that when I zoom in and out they flicker around and appear to change width a lot, and it's a real pain to look at and distracts from the work. I found a thread for a very similar issue here however it seems targeted to Affinity Publisher and is a little old now - I'm wonder if there's a way I can disable this in Designer. Thanks Quote
GarryP Posted December 5, 2020 Posted December 5, 2020 Welcome to the forums @Kaio Unless I missed something in the update notes there’s currently no way to switch those ‘page limit’ lines off in any of the Affinity applications. Quote
firstdefence Posted December 5, 2020 Posted December 5, 2020 What about a workaround? i.e make a large document and your work in the centre, if the document is large enough zooming in and out would remain outside the bounds of the viewable space, once you have finished your masterpiece you can clip it with a rectangle or export via selection. Kai. Posted December 5, 2020 Author Posted December 5, 2020 (edited) Thanks for the replies guys, @GarryP my mistake - I read the original thread I found as if it was suggesting Designer had the ability to turn it off already but Publisher didn't. My mistake. @firstdefence I can definitely give this a try if it ends up frustrating me enough - my only concern is that I can no longer base everything off of point 0,0 - but I'm sure it's something I can work with. Thanks again! Edit: On that note, is there a way I can post a feature request for this somewhere - or perhaps it already has been requested and I can go chip in my support?
