Is it always this consistent for you? Have you tried removing the app and redownloading from the AppStore? With that said we have made some changes to fix some of the instability/crashes with the Pencil/Vector Brush Tool in the 1.9 beta which might also solve this. Feel free to give it a try by following the 'Join the TestFlight' link on the forum below. Be aware that you will need to use the Apple TestFlight application to download the beta from - it will run side by side with the App Store release so will not share any data/brushes/documents/contents as the App Store version.
