Isahf
A week ago more less, it seens that the PNG files with transparency backgrounds that are created with affinity design and photo (ipad version) cant be visualized on the native ios player. I have this problem on my ipad mini 5 and ipad pro 2018 both of them are with the latest updates as well the affinity apps. This issue affects as well other apps that i use with the files that i generate with affinity. (Procreate and lumafusion) i ve already written to them too for the same error. I ve tried to contact with ios support but i couldnt. I will be very thankfull is you could give me some advicd or solution to fix this. thank you so much. Attached to this mail is a video of differents png files showing the error. The same happends with the png that i generate with affinity. I hope it would be helpfull to understand one of the problems. IMG_0077.MOV
DM1
Affinity hasn’t updated for ages so if recent issue more likely iOS. I suspect iOS viewer is using a white canvas. Maybe Apple issue? My Documents app viewer shows transparent backgrounds no issues. Quote M1 IPad Air 10.9/256GB lpadOS 17.1.1 Apple Pencil (2nd gen). Staff Dan C Posted December 8, 2020 Staff Share Posted December 8, 2020 Hi @Isahf, Welcome to the forums and I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble! In your screen recording provided, it appears as though your iPad believes these files are MPEG-4 video files, and not PNG files. Are you sure these files you tried to preview are PNG images? There is a chance that the incorrect file format is being applied to your documents based on an installed application (we've seen this before on iOS with .abr brushes). Do you have any video editors installed, or any apps you can think of that may be affecting your PNG file association? Quote Please note - I am currently out of the office for a short while whilst recovering from surgery (nothing serious!), therefore will not be available on the Forums during this time. Should you require a response from the team in a thread I have previously replied in - please Create a New Thread and our team will be sure to reply as soon as possible. Many thanks!
