Jan Peek Posted December 4, 2020 Posted December 4, 2020 Attached are two exports from a file I created for a class on font design. Looking at the bottom of the “i” there is a distinct displacement between the first (showing my intent) and second export. This effect is produced by resizing the canvas with a pinch. Unless I am missing something here this is one for the design team./ Quote
Dan C Posted December 8, 2020 Posted December 8, 2020 Hi @Jan Peek, Apologies for the delayed response! Can you please confirm for me, do you have Scale with object selected for all of your strokes here? If you do, then it would help to see a copy of this document to investigate further. Can you please upload a copy of this here, or let me know if you'd like a private link to upload this. Many thanks in advance Quote
Jan Peek Posted December 11, 2020 Author Posted December 11, 2020 I don’t fully understand how scale with object works, but here is the source file. This issue is obviously not a showstopper but it’s something that shouldn’t happen in a pro app. Untitled.afdesign Quote
Dan C Posted December 21, 2020 Posted December 21, 2020 Thanks for your file @Jan Peek! Please see my below screen recording, this 'Scale with Object' setting needs to be applied to all of your strokes before you resize them - RPReplay_Final1608565194.MP4 I hope this helps Paul Mudditt 1 Quote
Jan Peek Posted December 21, 2020 Author Posted December 21, 2020 Thanks for the explanation. I have wondered what “scale with object” was for. This raises a question though: Why isn’t this default behavior? I can’t think of any reason you’d want to NOT scale an object with its container. Can you explain? Quote

I believe that this is not set by default for the reasons described in the below post - If you scroll up in that thread, there are steps provided by Dave Harris to set this to be default for your selected tool & document Quote
