phfoto
I keep seeing slight variations on card sizes for a standard birthday card. I've seen 127mm x 177.8mm and slightly bigger or smaller. Would this size be the actual standard size for those vertical cards? Also what would the bleed area be?
GarryP
I don’t think there is such a thing as a ‘standard size’ for a greetings card; the ones here in the UK are all kinds of dimensions. Each print shop will have their own sets of card stock of various sizes that they can use and they will probably have options for creating card sizes that don’t fit their card stock exactly; you would need to check with the print shop. As for the bleed, the print shop will be able to tell you what to use for each different size of card. If in doubt, ask your print shop as they will know best what they can do. firstdefence
In general or as a default for most apps, it appears to be a 3mm bleed or 1/8th of an inch.
