fmlfoto
what is the point of having LIVE LAYERS & ADJ. LAYERS? What are the differences ??? apart from behaving differently in the layer panel which create of course creates confusion. A right click or shortcut for deselecting layers would be great for using live layers more freely. Thank you!!! anon1
anon1
I also question myself why not every filter is alive filter. And why is haze Removal introduced as destructive filter? I hope it will be available as a live filter in the MAS version. I would recommend the following solution for layer nesting: If the selected layer is a live filter layer and one adds another live filter layer the new one should be added on top (not nested as it is at the moment). Ifs a pixel layer is selected, the live filter should be applied nested as only affecting the pixel layer. - that should be easy to code and does´t have any disadvantages, right? jamesholden

Staff Callum Posted September 7, 2015 Staff Share Posted September 7, 2015 Hi Fmlfoto, The Live Filter layers are Non Destructive this means that you are able to remove the applied effect without having to use the Undo Button or the History Tab. The Filters at the top of the App are the same but are destructive this means that they have to be Undone to be removed that is the difference between the two sets of filters. The Adjustments tab is for Adjusting your layer and not for applying filters to it. So it has things such as Curves and Contrast adjustments that can be used to Adjust the photo rather than change its appearance with a filter. I hope this helps :) C Leigh 1 Quote Please tag me using @ in your reply so I can be sure to respond ASAP.
