Unwanted white box appearing behind text [iPad]

Recommended Posts

A few days ago on pasted some text into affinity and it add a white box behind it all which i couldn't get rid of

Now, for some reason any time i manually type any text in a new document there's a white block behind it all that i cant remove, ive tried everything and nothing is removing it.

Is this a known bug at the moment and is anyone else experiencing the same issue?

How can i fix this issue so that the white box is not longer appearing aytime i add text

Ther is no way to fix this.

Workaround until affinity gives us a colour toggle in UI:

To get rid of coloured background in pasted text you can open a new text box, type a few letters, select the text box and in edit menu select Copy. Now select the  box with coloured background to and use Edit menu  paste style. The clear background from your text box will replace the coloured background.

The recording shows copy/pasted text from Safari  with white background. I added a new text box with its default clear background. The red rectangle just highlights the text box background colours. In the end you can see they are both clear.

I have been getting this on mac desktop for a few versions now, 1-2 years. I finally just took the time to try and figure this out hopefully this will help:

When your text is selected / Find the TEXT FRAME button (on my desktop its up in the bar and also down in bottom right where transform, nvg, history etc tabs are.

It is hidden but it's there. Turn off fill.

And it will probably continue to be unavailable until Affinity Publisher comes to iPad.

Thanks for sharing. It's shameful that there's still no official fix for this.
