Is there a limit to the asset library size?

Recommended Posts

Hi and welcome to the forums @JlnMyr,

The answer is ... It depends.

A few thousand simple (one line of text and a couple of shapes) and small sized (sized in bytes) assets should not slow things down unless you have an underpowered computer. A couple of dozen assets that are in the several millions of bytes size could seriously hamper your ability to work. I tend to keep things on a separate hard drive and place them as needed instead of filling up the computer's hard drive.

Ask yourself "Am I going to use this Asset with multiple projects over the next few months?" before adding one. I keep a separate Category called "To Trash" for things I may need or just for convenience, I will continually remove items from it. It is usually empty.

Mac Pro (Late 2013) Mac OS 12.7.4
Affinity Designer 2.4.1 | Affinity Photo 2.4.1 | Affinity Publisher 2.4.1 | Beta versions as they appear.

I have never mastered color management, period, so I cannot help with that.
