Use Affinity applications on more than one device (was ms)

I work on a Mac desk top and when travelling with a mac book can I just download one package of affinity and use the product key on both devices

Your licence covers use of the app on any Mac (desktop or portable) that you own or control, as long as no one else is using it for commercial purposes.

We purchased the education package the unlimited users and we have no problem with downloading on computers but when pupils try to download on iPads they are saying they have to pay?

is there a way to use the product key we have to download on iPads?

I doubt it, because the iPad Store has no way to know of your license, which (I believe) covers Mac and Windows.
