Cannot find Color Profile on the newest Version (1.8.6) on Mac OS Big Sur

Hi 🙂
I recently installed the latest version of Affinity Designer.
A business partner needs a custom icc color profile - so I installed it as usual on Library/ColorSync/Profiles.
Now the problem: It doesn't show up in Affinity .. I can do whatever I want but it is not working :-(((((
Do you have any ideas or is it a Mac OS Big Sur / Affinity bug?

This is a known issue and is logged with our developers but @BiffBrown gives a workaround here:

I go to users/me/......and then library isn't there.  I am desperate to fix this.  I use an ICC profile in Silhouette Studio for sublimation and my work is depending on it right now.  Please someone help me.

If you're using Affinity Photo go to File > Import ICC Profile to import your ICC profile into the app.

i've got the same problem and the workarounds above doesn't work for me with a new iMac with affinity photo & affinity designer.
copy files to (right) folder: doesn't work
copy files to (old) folder: doesn't work but ColorSync shows right
import in affinity photo: doesn't work

My Specc:

iMac Retina 5K, 27", 2020 with 3,6 GHz 10-Core Intel Core i9

MacOS: Big Sur
AMD Radeon Pro 5700 XT 16 GB
4TB SSD
128 GB Ram

On my other iMac with Mojave it's work like expected.
Ive load the icc profiles form https://www.flyeralarm.com/de/content/index/open/id/27240/farbe.html because its required.

Is there maybe any other Workaround?

Seems to be working fine here. I downloaded ISOcoated_v2_eci.icc from the above website and used File > Import ICC Profile and it was copied to /Users/{USERNAME}/Library/Application Support/Affinity Photo/profiles/. It was then available in the app when using CMYK.

tried to follow this instruction, but after downloading I am unable to find where to compete the next step. I have no option to File > import ICC Profile. any ideas??

That's in Photo, not Designer.

However, you can use Finder to put ICC profile files in directory "~/Library/Application Support/Affinity Designer/profiles/".

that would explain some of the issue. 

okay, now that I have found the menu for the application support, I should be expecting to see the folder for affinity, however there is nothing there. if I use finder to search for it, I come across the launch icon but no actual folder. 

 

am I missing something?

after following another thread I have finally found the affinity folder and I think I have managed to place the icc profile within. 

I have attached the 3 screenshots showing the paths I had to take to find the folder. is this correct and will the issue now be resolved for now?

Yes, that's exactly where I told you to go.

If you had pressed shift+cmd+G in Finder then pasted the path (minus the double quotes) that I gave you, then you wouldn't have wandered into a wrong Library directory.
