Panel Layer: check boxes and protection item not visible

I have installed Affinity Designer a couple of days ago. I do not see the check boxes and protection item in the Panel "Layer". What do I need to do to see them respectively.

Welcome to the forums

They should be visible in the layers tab by default. Please could you provide a screenshot of your layers tab?
