Zeriba Posted December 1, 2020 Posted December 1, 2020 Hello all, Apologies if I am posting this in the section For some my GPU spikes up to 93-100% usage when I use select all (ctrl+A) within a document even if it is a fresh document with nothing in it (screenshot attached). Affinity Photo Version: 1.8.5.703 PC Specs: Display: Dell U2713H (2560x1440) GPU: 8GB Nvidia RTX 2060 Super CPU: Intel i5-10600K Is there any way to fix this? Any and all help is much appreciated Quote
GarryP Posted December 1, 2020 Posted December 1, 2020 Welcome to the forums @Zeriba As far as I know, the ‘marching ants’ of the selection use a GPU but I don’t know why they would use more than 90% of its capability. Having the same-sized document (same RGB/8 colour profile) open on my not-high-spec laptop and using Select All gives me a GPU usage of between 16% and 36%, which is lower than your numbers. That’s not an answer but it might show that what you are seeing may not be expected. Zeriba 1 Quote
Zeriba Posted December 1, 2020 Author Posted December 1, 2020 Thanks for the Welcome @GarryP I see it was very strange, I tried resetting my GPU settings to defaults via the Nvidia Control Panel and that seems to have fixed the issue, now the 'marching ants' only use 1% of my GPU lol. Thanks anyway! Quote
GarryP Posted December 1, 2020 Posted December 1, 2020 You’re welcome. I should probably do some settings-wrangling on my own GPUs but I don’t know enough to know if I would be making things better or worse. Good to hear your usage percentage is now down to a reasonable value though. Quote
