I often need to run a batch job to resize a group of photos. The problem sometimes is that each photo isn't the same "aspect ratio".

The batch job window requires me to input both a width and height for the pictures. While that is easy when all the batch pictures are the same ratio it otherwise doesn't work without risking a crop of some pictures.

As with sizes of selected objects in Affinity Designer - it is possible there to link the aspect ratio of an object and only to state one of the dimensions to change to ensure that images change proportionately.

Its would be really helpful if a similar option could be added to the batch job size requirements. Or otherwise please tell me this is actually possible now!

No, it doesn't. You can enter just one of them, and the other will be calculated individually for each image in the batch if you have the A (aspect ratio) box checked.
