stormyweather Posted November 30, 2020 Posted November 30, 2020 (edited) Was impressed with Affinity Photo after a short trial, so I decided to buy it, along with Designer and Published (on sale today). However there were no instructions provided on how to install the "extras" that came along with these three orders (I'm on MacOS). Specifically, how do I "install" these files, and which one goes with what program? Here are the files: fineliner-brushes.afbrushes jr-channels.afmacros montebello-typeface-by-ian-barnard.zip montebello-web-fonts.zip textures.zip Edited November 30, 2020 by stormyweather Quote
GarryP Posted November 30, 2020 Posted November 30, 2020 Welcome to the forums @stormyweather Brushes (.afbrushes) can be imported via the Bushes Panel, see first attached image. (If you can’t see the Brushes Panel use menu “View → Studio → Brushes”.) Macros (.afmacros) can be imported via the Library Panel, see second attached image. (If you can’t see the Library Panel use menu “View → Studio → Library”.) Fonts (typefaces) need to be installed via your operating system, plenty of help for this on the web, just search for “how to install font <whatever-your-os-is>”, replacing <whatever-your-os-is> with your operating system, e.g. “how to install font OSX”. For ZIP files you will need to extract the contents of the file before you can use those contents and you can get help for this on the web, e.g. search for “how to extract files from zip <whatever-your-os-is>”. What you can do with the contents of a ZIP file depends on what those contents are. Quote

If you didn't download them originally you can go back to https://affinity.store/account/downloads to find them. The JR Channels also has a separate Installation guide. Again, you can find it in your Account downloads if you didn't get it originally. Montebello also has a separate Font Guide that covers installation, and is available in your Account downloads.
