Windows 10, Affinity Designer 1.8.5.7003 and Affinity Designer 1.9.0.852.

  • Opening Affinity Designer as normal; I select File > New
  • I am presented with the New Document Window.
  • Whatever pre-set I select Affinity Designer immediately locks up and my system becomes unresponsive until I am able to terminate the Affinity Designer.

I have reinstalled Affinity designer; I have attempted to use the Affinity designer Public Beta 1.9.0.852. I have also accessed the Clear User Data dialogue by holding down Control while booting the application and selecting Select All > Clear. None of the above steps have resolved the problem.

I'm sorry to hear both the release and beta versions are crashing for you.

Please could you try uninstalling and reinstalling your GPU drivers?
