Cannot create "New".

Hi there.

I have a problem with creating a new document in Affinity Publisher.

Though I can open and change existing files, I couldn't open any new document.
Every single time I click "File" and "New Document", my Affinity Publisher stops working. Only consuming RAMs, no CPU usages.
This thing didn't appear yesterday when I was editing a new poster.

I've already tried to reinstall, but it didn't fix.

Since I just started using Affinity this week, is this problem happens to everyone?
Please help me if you have any idea, or similar problems.

This is my laptop's systems;
CPU: intel i5-6200U
RAM: 8GB
OS: Win 10 Pro (1909)
Affinity Publisher Version: 1.8.5.703

Thank you.

As a result, I've just solved this problem this morning.

I connected my laptop to a bigger display as I did last week, when I could create new documents, and the "New Document" window showed up.

It seems that the window didn't come with the main window of Affinity Publisher when I disconnected the HDMI cable.
Then, I moved those windows respectively while it is connected to the external display, I can open new document on my laptop's display.

Sorry to bother everyone.

Thank you.

Welcome to the Serif Affinity forums.

Good detective work, and thanks for following up to let us know the solution.
