Galm Posted November 27, 2020 Posted November 27, 2020 Hello. I have a document with some text, cmyk images and greyscale images made in beta .850. When i export to PDF, everything is fine except the greyscale images that come out as all black squares. I updated to .857 and the problem remains. I tried with a new document and just a greyscale image and it still comes out as a black square.

Thank you for you interest. I've just sent the image, a publisher 1.8.5 file with the resulting PDF and a publisher 1.9 file with the resulting PDF. Hope it helps.
Staff Jon P Posted December 1, 2020 Staff Posted December 1, 2020 Thanks, my first export with your files I could reproduce it, but it seems to be alright now no matter what preset I export to. I'll keep poking but can you take a screenshot of your export settings? Or do you find it happens exporting to any pdf preset? Serif Europe Ltd. - www.serif.com
Galm Posted December 2, 2020 Author Posted December 2, 2020 (edited) Sorry for the late answer. Here is a screenshot of my export settings. I just tried with the PDF/X4 settings and exports fine. I retried with my settings and it gave me the black square again. So it seems it's something with my settings. Just don't know what it is Thank you Edited December 2, 2020 by Galm
Staff Jon P Posted December 2, 2020 Staff Posted December 2, 2020 Thanks @Galm, I can reproduce it consistently with those settings, it seems to be disabling JPEG compression that's causing it (enable this and it exports fine) I've passed this on to development.
