Heychris Posted November 27, 2020 Posted November 27, 2020 File was created in PS 2021, does not open in AP 1.86 MAC nor in other non CC apps. even when saved as CC 2017 .psd it would still show " file type not supported" I need to be able to work with (this) .psd, which has worked until this specific file. content is a multitude of vetor layers. layer names are visible in finder info, also that it is a CMYK profiel Coated FOGRA39 (ISO 12647-2:2004). Any clues how the Photoshop user could save the file to make it accessible.. thanx chris FINAL_Knight_LOGO.psd Quote
Staff Lee D Posted December 1, 2020 Staff Posted December 1, 2020 I've managed to get the file to open in Affinity Photo, I had to use PS to narrow down the issue which seems to relate to the Bilzer group which consist of live shape layers. If you delete this group and resave as a .PSD it will import into Affinity Photo or use the version I've included below. I'll check our system to see if we have anything similar to this logged already as the "file type not supported" message can cover a lot of different things. FINAL_Knight_LOGO.afphoto 185.55 kB · 0 downloads Thanks a lot, that really seems to narrow it down. However, this makes It difficult as a lot of these standard effects are common in PS or AI. I finally swichted to vectors only and had a file created that would import in Designer/publisher. I'm still uncertain how to get around this in the future as I usually have no access to PS to experiment. Did use PS online (www.photopea.com) but did not work it out. Thanks a lot for your effort - helps a lot. Quote
