Odd Text Wrap Issue…

Guest

Recommended Posts

I just ran into this odd text wrap issue. I have a body copy layer with an artwork layer above, which in this example contains a masking shape with no fill or stroke (blue stroke shown is only for visibility in the example PNG), along with some text placed within the mask. As you can see (via TextWrapIssue.afpub attached) the text unexpectedly flows within the artwork masking shape. This wrapping error even persists when the shape is filled. I've tried recreating this with simpler shapes (circles, rects), without success and wonder if it might be related to using a bezier path in this manner. I'm hoping to be able to use such bezier shapes as a means of more carefully defining the space around which the text wraps.

It works when all three artistic text frames and the curve have a text wrap setting on their own. Why it fails in a group has Serif to tell. ;)
