Hi,

I have a pixel layer that is transparent although it is at 100 opacity. there's no effects on the object.

I drew a vector shape over it in another layer, made a selection from that object, inverted selection, selected the layer I wanted to cut out en pressed delete.

The vector shape was transparent, but the selection was clearly around the edges.

I've been browsing around on the topic but can't figure it out. What am I missing?

It’s difficult for us to see what’s going on from such a limited screen-grab and without knowing more about the layers you are using.
For instance, we can’t see if you have any layers above the bottle you have selected (they could be interfering in some way).
Also, we don’t know what the bottle is supposed to look like ‘normally’.
Would you be able to give us a full-screen screen-shot showing us whether there are layers above the bottle, and perhaps another one showing us what the bottle looks like against a background of a different colour (or exporting the bottle layer to a PNG and attaching it)?
