litchi
Hello dear Affinity Developers, I've just made the step to move from inDesign to Publisher and I REALLY love it! Still I decided to suggest a very much needed feature (well at least for me 😁). Wouldn't it be nice to actually move a master page element above everything on the page? E.G. when you place an image as background and you want to move your page number above it, without unlinking it. I hope this isn't already implemented and I just didn't find it yet! 😁
fde101
The master page appears on the layers panel of the pages associated with it and can be moved within the layer order using that entry in the panel, but the entire content of the master page moves together. You can, however, have multiple master pages associated with the same page, so you could have one at the bottom and one at the top for example. Support for global layers has been discussed in other threads and should simplify doing things like this in the future whenever it happens to show up. prophet
Just posted a graphic at the tail end of this epic topic today. Might be handy to a fresh InDesign convert.
