gregrobson
I have a document with a few artboards and I've noticed when zooming in that bounding box is not snapping to the pixels? The x measure seems to be exactly half a pixel, but the y dimension is –0.35ish??? If I try and draw a new slice I get the same mis-aligned behaviour. If I enter 0 for X and Y I get this... If I enter 5 for X and Y I get this: I don't believe this is intended behaviour?
Staff Sean P Posted November 25, 2020 Staff Share Posted November 25, 2020 Hi gregrobson, Would you be able to attach the document you're using that is demonstrating this please, so we can get a closer look as to whats going on?
gregrobson
Is there an email address I can send it to? It contains some media relating to a campaign that hasn't gone live yet. 🙂
Staff Sean P Posted November 25, 2020 Staff Share Posted November 25, 2020 That's not a problem - we don't have an email, however I have created a link to upload to our internal Dropbox account below:https://www.dropbox.com/request/sijPaX8duyC8a4xObuf4
gregrobson
File sent 🙂 I don't think it's relevant, but in case it is, I'm using a 4K screen.
Staff Sean P Posted November 26, 2020 Staff Share Posted November 26, 2020 Thanks for the files. This isn't a bug per se, but is a result that your artboards are off-pixel. If you select each artboard and then remove the decimal places from the X/Y values using the transform panel it will then correct most slice positions. You may find that some are still incorrect depending on how they were rounded. In that case select the Slice and click 'Revert to Autosized' it will then be snapped to a pixel grid that matches the artboard, though you will need to just tweak the heights back to what they were. When drawing artboards initially it is helpful to have 'Force pixel alignment' and 'Move by whole pixel' enabled (Near the snapping button) - this way any artboard and object drawn will be placed on the pixel grid and will always resize by a whole pixel.
