I installed Affinity Publisher 1.8.6 on MacOS 10.15.7 (Mac mini 2018) along with the other two tools in the suite. On first launch, it looked fine. I closed it, then later relaunched it, and the main window shows no UI elements. If I start a new document, it will show that blank document, but still no other UI elements - not even the MacOS close/minimize/maximize buttons. The Startup panel shows fine, as does the system menu at the top of the screen, and both Designer and Photo load without problems.

I've attached a screenshot for demonstration.image.thumb.png.aa912d9ee6e20d306c1baa47671d23a9.png

Hi @technoskald,

Welcome to the forums!

Sorry to see you're having trouble - it's possible that you've either 'floated' this document, or hidden some of your UI - but in order to ensure we fix this first try, we can simply reset the app back to default settings.

You can reset your app back to its default settings by holding down the CTRL key while launching the app. When the Clear User Data window appears, click Select All and then Clear. The app will now open.

Be aware that resetting your app back to its default settings will lose any custom settings such as keyboard shortcuts and brushes etc

Please do let me know if this helps :)
